The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has released an official notification to apply the online application form for recruitment of 74 vacancies under the Combined Recruitment Examination of Junior Stenographer, Junior Grade Typist, and Typist-cum-Scribe Assistant-2025, which is available on the official website of the Commission, i.e., www.ossc.gov.in. The selection is based on prelims, mains, computer skill test/stenographer test/typing test, and certificate verification. OSSC Odisha Junior Stenographer Vacancy 2025

The OSSC Junior Stenographer Notification has been released for 67 vacancies, including 05 vacancies for Junior Grade Typist. These vacancies are under various departments of the Odisha Government. The OSSC Odisha Junior Stenographer vacancy distribution is given below.

OSSC Junior Stenographer Application Fee

As per the OSSC Junior Stenographer Notification, applicants are exempted from paying any examination fee during the application process.

OSSC Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

• Junior Stenographer (EIC Water Resources): You must have an HSC qualification or equivalent with ITI Stenography with basic computer skills.
• Junior Stenographer (Advocate General): Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized University; shorthand speed of 80 words per minute (English and Odia), and basic computer application knowledge.
• Junior Stenographer (Directorate of Treasuries and Inspection): Candidates must have passed the CHSE 12th exam with any stream, or equivalent exam; have a shorthand speed of 80 words per minute with computer application knowledge.
• Junior Grade Typist: Candidates must have passed the HSC examination or equivalent exam and have a certificate in Basic computer skills.
• Typist-cum-Scribe Assistant Candidates must have passed the 12th examination and have a typing speed of 40 words (English) and 20 words per minute (Odia) with basic computer skills.

Age Limit

The candidates’ age should be between 18 and 32 years as of 3rd May 2025

Selection Process

The selection will consist of three stages:

• Preliminary Examination
• Main Written Examination
• Stenographer Typing Test
• Document Verification

OSSC Junior Stenographer Salary

The salary in the pay scale is Rs 25,500 and Rs 81,100 (Level 7). The OSSC Junior Stenographer salary is inclusive of allowances and benefits such as TA, DA, HRA, etc., as per government norms.
